How to Create Automated Webinar in Stealth Seminar
An automated webinar lets you deliver a pre-recorded presentation on a repeating schedule, making it appear live to your attendees. It is our most popular event type and the default when you create a new webinar.
Make sure you have the following ready before setting up your automated webinar:
- A webinar video uploaded to your library, or hosted on a supported platform (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.). See: Where can I host my webinar video?
- An active account - If you are still on a free trial, note that you are limited to 100 registrants per month. See: Are there any limitations for free trials?
Step 1: Create a New Webinar
- Log in to your account.
- Click the New Webinar button in the left menu.
- Enter a title for your webinar (this is for your internal reference).
- Under Webinar Type, make sure Automated Webinar is selected.

- Select your webinar video from your library or upload a new video.
- Click Create Webinar.
Tip: Keep the Automated Webinar type selected unless you specifically need a Live, Hybrid, Dedicated Replay, or Public Webinar event. See: Different Event Types
Step 2: Configure Your Webinar Schedule
Next, you will be led to the Scheduling section to decide when your webinar will run.
By default, your webinar is set up as an evergreen/repeating event using our highest-converting schedule. You can adjust this to fit your needs.
Easy Scheduling options include:
- Just in Time - The next session starts shortly after a visitor arrives, creating urgency. See: How does Just in Time option work?
- Daily Repeat Schedule - The webinar runs at set times every day. See: How does Daily Repeat Schedule work?
- Watch Yesterday's Replay - Offers registrants an option to watch the previous session immediately. See: Can I add a Watch Yesterday's Replay option to my event?
Advanced Scheduling options include:
- Minutes Until Webinar - Lets you control how many minutes after registration the webinar begins. See: How does Minutes Until Webinar work?
- Webinar Timezone - Controls how timezone is displayed to your registrants. See: How does Webinar Timezone work in Advanced Scheduling?
Note: You can also set a start date (the earliest date registrants can sign up) and a registration start date to control availability windows.
Step 3: Set Up Simulated Chat (Optional)
Automated webinars support chat replay, which lets you pre-load chat messages that appear to attendees at timed intervals during the presentation, simulating a live audience experience.
- Bulk import chat messages using a spreadsheet. See: How do I bulk import chat messages?
- Add a simulated name list to give attendees names to the chat messages. See: Name List
Step 4: Add a Call to Action (Optional)
A Call to Action (CTA) is an offer, button, or link that appears on screen at a specific point during the webinar. This is where you can drive sales, collect leads, or direct attendees to a specific page.
To add a CTA:
- Navigate to the Call to Action/Chat section.
- Click Add Call to Action.
- Give your CTA a name (internal use only).
- Select the type: text link, image button, HTML, or poll.
- Set the start time (when it appears in the video timeline) and duration (how long it stays visible).
- Choose the location on the watch page where it will appear.
- Add your link, button, or image.
- Click Save.
You can add as many CTAs as needed. See: How do I add a call to action during my webinar?
Step 5: Preview and Test Your Webinar
Before sending traffic to your webinar, always preview and test the full experience:
- Preview your registration page to confirm it looks and functions correctly. See: How do I preview my webinar page?
- Test your full setup end to end. See: How do I test my setup?
- Preview your countdown page, watch page, and thank you page to confirm the attendee experience looks correct.
